Animal Cruelty is a crime that the player can commit in Red Dead Redemption 2. It involves assaulting or killing domestic animals that are found on ranches and rural settlements. If the player is seen by a NPC doing such crime, they will report them, resulting in becoming "Wanted" by the law. The player will also lose Honor for the committing the crime.
Examples include killing sheep in Valentine, any livestock at Emerald Ranch, Dogs inside of towns, injuring/killing Horses, and killing Cats. Killing parrots in towns of Guarma can also trigger animal cruelty.
