Background
Arturo Bullard is a pilot, who sometime before the year 1899 bought an european hot air balloon.
Events of Red Dead Redemption 2
Sadie Adler has hired Bullard for flying lessons for Arthur, but she is just using Bullard to help them find John Marston, who has been sent to Sisika Penitentiary, which is on a island near Saint Denis. Once Arthur and Sadie arrive, Bullard is pleased to see her. Bullard teaches Arthur on how to use the hot air balloon and chats with Arthur.
Arthur must guide the balloon to the island. Bullard will ask Arthur why is he going to island and Arthur tells Bullard that he is looking for his friend. Bullard takes over the controls and Arthur uses some binoculars to look for John. Arthur finds what seems to be John, but some of guards spot the balloon a open fire and forcing them to leave the island.
They fly the balloon to Annesburg, Bullard and Arthur notices that Sadie is being chased by some O'Driscolls. Arthur tells Bullard to take over the controls and pulls out a sniper rifle. Bullard is excited by the action. Later, some O'Driscolls notices the gunfire from the balloon. One bullet hits Bullard, the next shot fatally wounds him. Bullard falls off the balloon to his death. Arthur uses the balloon to save her and attempts to land the balloon, but crashes the balloon. Arthur and Sadie kill the last of the O'Driscolls. Arthur is angry that Sadie caused trouble and got Bullard killed.
