Bad Bessie's Gang is a gang featured in Red Dead Revolver.
History[]
Background[]
After fleeing the Brimstone Saloon in 1885 as a result of mistreatment due to her race and mugging the bartender, Hanz Kenyon, Bad Bessie formed her own gang consisting of local criminals, disaffected natives, murderers, prospectors, and trappers. The majority of members of Bessie's group had previously been members of other gangs or regard it as a side hustle.
Although Bessie's gang hadn't quite reached the level of notoriety as other outlaw factions of the period, they had wreaked enough havoc to warrant a bounty being placed on its leader's head.
Events of Red Dead Revolver[]
Some time later, the bounty hunter Red Harlow encounters and kills many members of Bessie's gang during the mission "Rogue Valley" after being hired to do so by Sheriff Bartlett. After Curly Shaw is killed by Jacques Markus, Red arrives at the top of the Canyon has a final showdown with Bad Bessie herself and her remaining men (including Standing Snake and Sissy Fess). Harlow is ultimately victorious, gunning down the surviving fragments of Bad Bessie's gang.
