The Badger is an animal species found in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Description[]

Badgers are moderately sized mammals. They are aggressive omnivores that prey on smaller mammals, such as squirrels and moles, and their diet also consists of small insects, earthworms and grubs.

In appearance, they have wide, fat bodies with short legs, and an elongated head with small ears.

In colour, they have a grey body and their head has black stripes combined with white markings.

Location[]

Badgers are present in most parts of the map, being one of the most numerous animals in the game. The only places where the player will not find any are up in the north. Their size allows them to hide in plain sight.

The best place to find them would be southwest Lemoyne, around the town of Rhodes. Another good hotspot is in the Tall Trees area, west of Blackwater.

Tips[]

  • The badgers’ pelts and claws don’t go for much in the market, but the player can use them to craft all kinds of stuff.
  • The carcasses can be sold for $3 is they’re in good condition, so the player even stands to make some money if pelts are all they are after.
  • The Varmint Rifle will kill them but won’t damage the remains, which makes it the perfect weapon for clean kills.
