The Banjo Mutant is a resident of Butcher Creek. He has some form of disease, most likely iodine deficiency, causing the area around his neck to deform.
Events of Red Dead Redemption 2[]
He can usually be seen playing songs on his banjo on the porch of a house in the southwest of the settlement.

- He is based on a real-life person.[1]
- If the player antagonizes him enough he will start a fistfight. If the player attacks him or another villager, he will draw a Cattleman Revolver.
- He will not respond to the player greeting or complimenting him.
