The bank was founded at some point prior to 1898 and is the only bank in the State of New Austin.

Due to the cholera outbreak afflicting Armadillo in 1907, the bank is closed and thus inaccessible to the player.

In the first game, the bank can be entered by the player and it can also be robbed. Doing so will draw the law's attention to the player.
