Bartholomew Braithwaite is a minor character in Red Dead Redemption 2.

History

Background

Bartholomew was born into the wealthy Braithwaite Family by family's matriarch, Catherine Braithwaite, and an unnamed father.

Events of Red Dead Redemption 2

Bartholomew can be seen alongside his mother and his brothers, Gerald and Gareth, when Arthur and Hosea ride to the Braithwaite Manor with the stolen moonshine. When Hosea suggests selling the moonshine somewhere else, Bartholomew threatens to Arthur and Hosea, pointing his shotgun at them to get them to hand over the moonshine. Eventually, Catherine lowers his gun and asks him to pay Hosea, in return for giving out the moonshine for free at the saloon in Rhodes.

Bartholomew takes part in the defence of Braithwaite Manor, but is slain during the Van der Linde gang's assault on the manor, much like most of his relatives that are present.

Trivia

  • Bartholomew does not appear during "Blood Feuds, Ancient and Modern." His brother Gareth appears twice, first confronting Dutch and again with Gerald guarding their mother. This is presumably an oversight, where Bartholomew is supposed to be one of these appearances.
