Bear Mountain is a location in Red Dead Revolver.

Background

The mountain is situated East of the town of Brimstone, and it is the location of the gold deposit discovered by Nate Harlow and Governor Griffon. The mountain is considered a sacred place to the Red Wolf Tribe and Black Elk Tribe, who feud over access to the mountain via Sunset Canyon.

The mine within the mountain is the site of the prison that Red Harlow and Buffalo Soldier are held captive in, while also serving as a base of operations for Javier Diego and his army, during the events of Red Dead Revolver.

Mission Appearances

Trivia

  • Bear Mountain seems to take inspiration from the Black Hills of South Dakota. For instance, they have similar histories, with both places considered sacred by Native Americans, as well as fought over by two different tribes before being ultimately mined for gold by settlers.
