Billy Midnight is a minor character and featured in Red Dead Redemption II. He is one of the subjects of the Stranger side-mission "The Noblest of Men And A Woman".

History

Background

Billy Midnight is an infamous gunslinger roaming the Wild West. [1] Billy's birth name is Wilhelm Schnell. He became a overnight sensation after killing Rabbit Matthews and became a national celebrity. Due to his popularity, he has received death threats and has suffered from assassination attempts on his life.

Red Dead Redemption II

Arthur Morgan is sent to track down Billy, and potentially interview him. Arthur sees him boarding a train in Rhodes, and finds him in the trains Bar Room. When Arthur approaches and asks him about his gunslinging days, Billy gets frightened, and hints that he killed Matthews in his sleep. He believes that Arthur has been sent to kill him. Arthur will chase him through the train and eventually onto the roof. With Billy cornered, he draws his weapon for a duel. Arthur then kills him, and takes a picture of his corpse. His weapon, Midnight's Pistol, can be obtained after his defeat.

Trivia

  • He has a unique pistol that can be picked up after he is killed.
  • If the player shoots the gun out of his hand, he will start to laugh and pull out another gun. Eventually he commits suicide by pulling the trigger on himself.
  • Attempting to stop Billy Midnight from shooting himself will result in you killing him, despite shooting him in the same hand twice.
