RDRstub.jpg Hey there, cowboy. This article looks a little bit small.
I reckon you could impress me by contributing to it. Don't be shy now.

Maybelle Elizabeth Colter, also known as Black Belle, is a character featured in Red Dead Redemption 2. She is one of the subjects of the Stranger side-mission "The Noblest of Men and a Woman".

Background

Following her first robbery at Rhodes, Bell became an infamous member of the Colter Tobin Gang, of which she is the sole surviving member. It is known that she was married six times to six gentlemen and never divorced one of them.

Arthur Morgan is sent to track down and potentially interview her. In doing so, her home is attacked by bounty hunters, and Arthur helps her escape in exchange for the interview and a photo.[1] After the interview and photo she leaves on horseback and is not seen again.

Mission Appearances

Trivia

  • Her character may be based on sharpshooter Annie Oakley.
  • Her name is an obvious reference to famed outlaw Belle Starr, nicknamed "The Bandit Queen" while based in Oklahoma and Missouri. Black Belle's clothing also heavily resembles Starr's.
  • Her rowdy personality may also be inspired by Calamity Jane, a famous frontierswoman, also born in Missouri.
