The Blue Jay is a species of animal found in Red Dead Redemption 2.
Description[]
The Blue Jay is a medium-sized bird that often vocalizes loudly. It is usually seen perching on boulders, fences, posts, and other high areas. Like with all birds of its size, Blue Jays should be killed with a Bow using Small Game Arrows to preserve its quality.
Location[]
Blue Jays can be found all throughout the central areas of the map, but with little to no populations in New Austin and the Grizzlies. The greatest population seems to be in The Heartlands.
Tips[]
- Players struggling to find a Blue Jay can check the rocks on the Kamassa River in Roanoke Ridge; several other birds, like the Robin, can also be found in this way.
- Another good location to check is Fort Brennand, on top of the fort itself.
Trivia[]
- In the mission "A New Jerusalem", a Blue Jay appears next to John as he is hammering in the nails for the floor. Originally, it was believed this bird is only present if Arthur Morgan died with high honor, leading to a fan theory that the bird is a reincarnated version of Arthur that overlooks the construction. However, the blue jay is present when Arthur died with low honor as well.
