Charlie is a minor character featured in Red Dead Redemption.
Background
Charlie is a Border Collie and has black fur with some white patches. Due to his breed, the people of MacFarlane's Ranch most likely use him to herd the cattle and sheep when not guarding the ranch at night.
Interactions
- Charlie is the dog seen accompanying Marston in the MacFarlane's Ranch Nightwatch missions.
- During the Nightwatch activity, Charlie will also attack the perpetrator, although most of the time he will rely on the player to injure the perpetrator to the point where he cannot stand. Though this may seem helpful, it does make it difficult sometimes to subdue and hogtie the perpetrator, seeing as most of the time he will be mauled by Charlie while on the ground.
Trivia
- If the player whistles while near Charlie, Charlie will follow the player if they leave the ranch, and point out animals in the wild.
- Charlie has a large amount of health, making it hard for any outlaw to kill him.
