Clara LaGuerta is a minor character and a Stranger featured in Red Dead Redemption. She appears in and gives the player the Stranger side-mission "The Wronged Woman".

Background[]
Clara has been cast out of Blackwater due to her illegitimate pregnancy. Her major concern is getting the father to help her out financially. The father is Harold Thornton, who maintains that he's never even heard of Clara, much less fathered her child. So she weeps inside Blackwater Church, hoping that someone will come to her aid.
Events of Red Dead Redemption[]
Marston first meets her in Blackwater Church where she tells him her sorrowful tale. After that, he only hears about Clara from Harold's wife crying over her husband's grave. She claims to have seen Clara laughing at Thornton's funeral and refers to her as "that dock trollop", further discrediting Clara's story. In the journal, it is stated that Clara conned Marston into robbing and killing Thornton.

Personality[]
Clara presents herself as a sorrowful single mother who got knocked up and left behind by the father of her child, weeping hoping that someone will lend their services for helping the young mother. However, behind her facade of sorrow and misery is a cold and cunning woman, who will do anything for cash, falsely accusing Mr. Thornton of charming her into becoming pregnant with his child. She utilizes the prejudice of her being a woman to get what she wants, citing sexism as her reason for being outcast and estranged. She has no remorse for her actions, gladly going to his funeral and laughing amongst those who mourned him.

Clara is a Hispanic woman who seems to have a slight baby bump and wears a white tank top to exaggerate its appearance. She has black hair, and black eyes.

- If the player starts the mission as John and ends it as Jack, Clara will still be pregnant. However, due to the fact that she used Marston just so she could get the money from Harold, she could just be pretending.
