Clemens Point is a camp hideout in Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online in the Scarlett Meadows region of the Lemoyne territory.

It serves as the location of the Van der Linde gang’s camp site during the third chapter of the game.

Location[]

Clemens Point is a small area in western Scarlett Meadows, Lemoyne. It is situated on the east coast of Flat Iron Lake, northwest of Rhodes.

Description[]

Clemens Point is a peninsula that protrudes from the mainland into Flat Iron Lake. Clemens Point overlooks a relatively small bay and is surrounded by an archipelago of islands to the west. To the north and northeast, the bay is enclosed by thick forest. It is the remoteness of Clemens Point that makes it the perfect camp hideout.

History[]

Background[]

In 1899, Clemens Point is unhabited and a fishing sector well known and protected.

Events of Red Dead Redemption 2[]

After Arthur Morgan and young Jack Marston were approached by Pinkerton agents Andrew Milton and Edgar Ross near Horseshoe Overlook camp and a shootout with Leviticus Cornwall’s men at Valentine, Dutch sends Arthur and Charles Smith at Dewberry Creek, a location suggested by Micah Bell, to check it out for a new camp. After noticing that the location is way too exposed to serve as a camp, they searches the area. Next, they come across a German mother and her children, hiding behind barricades. She manages to communicate that the children's father had been kidnapped, and so the pair try to find him. They eventually track him to Clemens Point, where they find the man before killing the kidnappers. Arthur and Charles both agrees that the site would make a perfect camp site and Arthur brings the father to his family while Charles goes back to the rest of the gang to direct them to their new camp. When he arrives, Dutch expresses that he likes the place and congratulates Arthur on finding it.

Most gang members appear to like the spot and are content here. At one point, Charles says that spirits seem high, perhaps the highest they’ve been since Blackwater. The site makes a perfect campsite and is situated near Rhodes, where the gang begins their research on the legendary fortune of the Gray and Braithwaite families.

At the end of the chapter, however, the Grays sets a trap in Rhodes and kills Sean MacGuire in responses for burning their tobacco fields on behalf of the Braithwaites while the Brauthwaites kidnaps Jack in response for stealing their alcohol and horses on behalf of the Grays. Arthur, Micah and Bill Williamson takes down the Grays in town and the gang assaults the Braithwaite Manor in search for Jack, but Catherine Braithwaite reveals that her sons gave him to Italian mafia boss Angelo Bronte, in Saint Denis. The morning following the assault, Milton and Ross shows up again and Milton offers the gang a deal - that they can run away and be granted amnesty in return for Dutch being handed over. After none of the gang members comply, Milton and Ross are forced to leave. Dutch then understands it is time to move yet again and has the gang move southeast to Shady Belle, bringing them closer to Saint Denis, to find Jack.
