Clifford works as a longshoreman and handyman in Thieves' Landing along with Ralph Bagley and Bud Sullivan.

Clifford can most often be found in Thieves' Landing doing a variety of odd jobs or handling cargo at the docks. However, he has been known to frequent Armadillo, often loitering around the saloon in a drunken state. He carries a gun and will shoot at the player in self-defense if he believes they mean him harm.
