Cody is a member of Walton's gang who is wanted for property destruction and can be captured or killed depending on the player's choice. Despite his criminal nature, he seems to be quite religious, as after he has been captured, he claims to be on a mission given to him by God. He also often calls the people around him "sinners". However, due to the fact that he also participates in the worst manners of crimes with the rest of Walton's boys, like robbery, mass murder, shootouts and wild posses, it is possible he could be a religious fanatic, who sees the acts he does as some sort of "greater good".

Cody can most often be found around Armadillo, loitering inside the saloon, where he drinks at the tables with other members of Walton's bunch. He has also been known to frequent Rathskeller Fork where he may participate in a game of Blackjack, sometimes alongside fellow Walton's Gang member Dale Chesson. Otherwise, he may be found walking or smoking around the saloon. He can also be spotted Arm Wrestling at the Pacific Union Railroad Camp or Plainview. He can also be encountered at the Twin Rocksgang hideout, but he will be hostile. Cody will also partake in most criminal acts with the rest of Walton's gang just about anywhere in Cholla Springs, including attacking a stagecoach, where the player can either help him out or defend the stagecoach.
