Cristo Bustamante is a minor character and bounty target featured in Red Dead Redemption.
Background[]
Cristo Bustamante is an infamous bandito wanted for grand larceny. The player, upon collecting his wanted poster, can pursue Cristo and his companions to a remote location, where they have the choice to either kill or hogtie him and turn him over to the authorities of the nearest settlement for a reward.
He wears a dark-colored jacket and shirt, twin bandoliers, a red neckerchief, and a large sombrero. He has dark hair, a medium-length mustache, and a small, trimmed beard.
Interactions[]
Cristo can most often be found around Casa Madrugada and Chuparosa, frequently loitering in and around the cantina with other known banditos. He can also be encountered at Fort Mercer in singleplayer, where he will be hostile even if the player is wearing the Bandito Outfit. During this hideout, he is one of three bandito leaders, along with Arcadio Gamboa and Ramiro de la Torre, who need to be killed to complete the hideout.
Trivia[]
- His character model is available in the Outfitter under the name Theo Crenshaw.
- His facial model and style of dress bears some resemblance to Mexican revolutionary leader Pancho Villa. The banditos themselves are largely inspired by Villa and the revolutionary forces he led between 1911 and 1920.
- His surname is possibly borrowed from Hector Luis Bustamante, who was the voice actor for Vincente de Santa and Raul Zubieta.
