Critchley's Ranch is a location featured in Red Dead Redemption. It is a small ranch in the Cholla Springs region of the New Austin territory. It can be found south of Odd Fellow's Rest and southeast of Ridgewood Farm.

Background

Critchley's Ranch is only a small ranch, it's likely owned by the two people who wander the ranch, possibly Mr and Mrs Critchley. It seems to be in a rather dangerous location, as it is only a short distance away from Fort Mercer, the owners are likely to have been 'terrorised' by Williamson's Gang before the events of 1911. The ranchers seem to be coping rather well, they have a lot of goats and sometimes during the day an odd chicken will be found wandering the ranch. The ranch is filled with two types of "pests"; rabbits and skunks, these may also prove handy as they're easy to hunt and could be used as an excellent source of food.

Layout

The ranch has a simple farmhouse with a hitching post outside. The hitching post usually has a single horse hitched to it. Behind the farmhouse is a outhouse with a large crate next to it, East of the outhouse is a stable, the stable currently has no horses in it. A fence runs around the whole ranch, the house has an axe grinder nearby and an axe in a tree stump (with a pile of logs next to it). There are lamps all around the ranch, including ones on the outhouse, barn and one on the cover at the front of the house. A broken wagon is next to the axe grinder. There are Goats and Chickens wandering around the ranch. The ranch has a lot of skunks and rabbits present too, these are good for hunting as they are all in an enclosed space and are easy to kill. The ranch is also home to a scrawny looking Dog most likely the ranch dog.
