Dale Chesson is a minor character and a bounty target featured in Red Dead Redemption.

Background

Chesson is a member of Walton's gang who is wanted for property destruction and can be captured or killed depending on the player's choice.

Red Dead Redemption

Dale can most often be found around Armadillo, frequently loitering inside the saloon. Dale also plays Blackjack along fellow gang member Cody Witlow at Rathskeller Fork. He can also be encountered at the Twin Rocks gang hideout, but he will be hostile unless the player is wearing the Walton's Gang Outfit.

Undead Nightmare

In Undead Nightmare, Dale can be found defending the settlement of Twin Rocks where he is on the roof of the building on the right along with Alfie Scruggs. If Twin Rocks is saved and Dale survives, he will move to sit around the fire with his fellow survivors.

Bugs/Glitches

• He is the subject of a very annoying glitch in which he always shows up as a bounty target in New Austin after 20 bounty targets (except Sid Winkler) in New Austin are beaten. The glitch is confirmed on both regular and GOTY Editions.

Trivia

• His character model is available in the Outfitter under the name Pat O'Flanagan.
• After being captured, he claims to be "old friends with the sheriff."
• He bears a strong resemblance to Sampson Black, a character from Red Dead Redemption 2.
• He wears an outfit similar to that of Cody Witlow.
