Desert Sage (Salvia eremostachya) is an item found in Red Dead Redemption.

• 2 additional Desert Sage must be gathered to complete Survivalist Challenge Rank 10.
• 3 Desert Sage must be collected to complete the Stranger side-mission: "Flowers for a Lady".^†

Undead Nightmare

• 5 Desert Sage are required for the Survivor mission "A Cure for Most of What Ails You", in addition to 5 Violet Snowdrop.
• 1 Desert Sage or any other type of sage can be combined with 1 Violet Snowdrop to give a Phosphorus Coating to bullets fired, but only after completing the mission "A Cure for Most of What Ails You".

Locations

It grows out west in and around Gaptooth Ridge. It can be found in abundance directly east and west of Ridgewood Farm. Along with the Butterfly Weed it can be found scattered around Diez Coronas, and scarcely found east of Las Hermanas near Casa Madrugada. It can also be found south of Benedict Point. Another point of interest, but scarcely found, is just a little north west of Torquemada.
