Dieter Frommel is a minor character featured in Red Dead Redemption.
Background[]
Dieter's personal background is unknown. He appears to be an immigrant from Germany, as evidenced by his name and accent. He works as a laborer or farmer at Armadillo and helps out at various ranches in New Austin.

Red Dead Redemption[]
Dieter can normally be found in Armadillo, doing a variety of odd jobs. He will always spawn behind the train station, opening a crate with goods to inspect it or moving the wooden desks around. In the afternoon and evenings he might travel to the Saloon to relax. However, he has been known to travel around New Austin on a horse with another character, or working at Ridgewood Farm and MacFarlane's Ranch, where he can usually be seen fixing wooden posts or crates.
During a random encounter, Dieter and another worker can be seen packing a large supply of freshly made dynamite at their camp. Dieter warns his friend to be careful, stating that one spark will send them all up. If the player approaches them, they might ask the player to deliver the packed dynamite to a nearby settlement for distribution. In some cases, the other worker lights a cigarette nearby and smokes it, killing both him and Dieter in the resulting explosion and destroying the money chest.
Undead Nightmare[]
In Undead Nightmare, Dieter can be found in the survivors' camp at Fort Mercer. He is seen when John Marston first arrives at the fort, helping Millicent Waterbury. Afterwards, he can be found undertaking a number of tasks within the fort and interacting with the other survivors.

- Dieter's clothes are similar to the Rancher Outfit. They're also similar to Lee Brennand, Emerson Lang and Oliver Philips' outfits.
