Donner Falls is a waterfall in Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online in the Grizzlies East region of the Ambarino territory.

It lies north of Bacchus Station and is part of the Dakota River system. Its source is the Calumet Ravine, a large reservoir near the Wapiti Indian Reservation.

Notes[]

  • On the eastern side, a Dragon's Mouth Orchid can be found.
  • Further east and slightly south is a Mysterious Hill Home. Just outside is a lockbox that contains chewing tobacco and the Poison Arrow Pamphlet.
  • Northeast of the home is a cave. Accessible from the west via a crack in the granite, it contains Strange Statues.
  • Eagle Flies' grave can be found on the western side of the waterfall once the player has reached the epilogue.

Trivia[]

  • Donner Falls possibly gets its name from the real-life Donner Party, a group of American pioneers that set out for California in a wagon train in May 1846. By November of that year, the party had become trapped by heavy snowfall high in the Sierra Nevada mountains. The group was forced to resort to cannibalism to survive, and only 48 of the original 87 members lived through the ordeal.
