The Course of True Love II (Arthur will say "How many gazebos they need" when approaching the wrong gazebo, a throwback to an iconic joke from The Simpsons)
Exploding House (a small house found in the north of Tumbleweed, will suddenly explode the very moment it is discovered. this encounter could be a reference to a similar encounter that happens in the video game Fallout 4)
Time Traveler (the 1990 sci-fi film Back to the Future III or H.G. Wells' book The Time Machine, 1895)
0451 (after John's house is built in the epilogue, wooden planks are laid out spelling the numbers "0451", a reference to a code that has appeared in many games since its first use in 1994 video game System Shock)
H. Blake Fishing Tackle Maker (in Saint Denis, there's a fishing store owned by H. Blake, clearly a reference to Henry Blake from the TV show M*A*S*H)
Sleepy Hollow (outside of Appleseed Timber Company, two dead bodies can be found laying on the ground, with one missing a head while the other one having its face smashed. one of the bodies has a letter from Professor Crane. This is a reference to Ichabod Crane, the protagonist of the short story The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.)
Crying Swamp Lady Encounter (La Lloronna, aka Woman in White, a Mexican legend about a woman ghost who drowned her children, killed herself afterwards, and then mourns them for eternity)

Charles Smith's hand (Charles burnt his right-hand amidst the turmoil while escaping Blackwater, similar to how Red Harlow injured the same hand whilst defending himself from Colonel Daren)
Doc's Gone Fishing (the sign is a reference to a text that appears after leaving Sheriff Bartlett's office; a creative resource used to mock the obvious lack of accessible interiors in Red Dead Revolver)
Swift's Miracle Elixir (the elixir called "Swift's Liver Cod Oils" is perhaps an homage to Jack Swift, a gunslinger who had an animosity towards a Snake Oil merchant)
Twin Rocks Gang (the female bounty hunter murders every member of the gang and then turns them in - the scene where Red Harlow tries to collect the bounty on Bloody Tom's Gang after killing all of them at Twin Rocks)
