RDRstub.jpg Hey there, cowboy. This article looks a little bit small.
I reckon you could impress me by contributing to it. Don't be shy now.

El Señor is a basic mule found south of the border in Mexico in Red Dead Redemption as well as the starter mount available to new players in multiplayer. His deed can be purchased from the Chuparosa general store for $100, allowing the player to select him at any time. El Señor is much slower than an average horse in the game, and can carry no passengers or hogtied victims. It seems to get rather cranky after riding for a long time while sprinting. When starting for the first time in online, it is wise for the player to steal a mount that can achieve greater performance. If you choose not to, you won't have much luck pursuing or escaping anyone or anything. Note that when riding a stolen horse, whistling for El Señor will make him spawn and follow you throughout the game world. Players that decide to enter Legend mode will make short use of the mount, seeing as better mounts are unlocked earlier than before. El Señor can be found throughout Mexico being navigated by a man who seems to yell.

Trivia

  • High leveled players in multiplayer sometimes use El Señor as their mount in order to ridicule other lower level players and for the sheer ridiculousness of it. This practice is not just restricted to high-leveled players, of course, as it is good clean fun to ride a full posse through Armadillo at full speed, shouting at eachother (with the circle button on PS3 or B button on the Xbox 360) while the donkeys sound off.
  • El Señor means "the gentleman" in Spanish.
  • Despite being labeled as mule in-game, El Señor has the physical characteristics of a donkey.
