As with all similar items, the Embalming tools are not used in the game beyond unlocking a Showdown character and journal page. It is possible that these belonged to Mr. Black himself, who is unlocked if the tools are bough.

- Mr. Black as a multiplayer character in Showdown Mode.
- Pages of Sheriff Bartlett's Journal, 160-161 covering Black.
Merchants[]
The Embalming Tools can be purchased from the Shop at the start of the mission "Sunset Canyon". If not purchased, they are not available to be bought again in the story mode.
Since Mr. Black can also be unlocked first with an Excellent rating on "The Cemetery", the Embalming Tools will shown as SOLD in the shop interface.
