Crooked Toes is a natural formation in Red Dead Redemption and in the Punta Orgullo region of the Nuevo Paraíso territory. It is also featured as an off-bounds location in Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online.

Background[]

Single-player[]

A semi-circular cluster of five rock formations of varying sizes, the largest of which has a hidden chest containing Brown's Gold, the fifth treasure in the Treasure Hunter Challenges at the top, and another chest containing cash at its base.

Packs of wolves frequently roam this location.

Multiplayer[]

It is the first of three stops the raft makes in the Outlaws to the End Co-op mission "The River".

After downloading the Liars and Cheats DLC pack, Crooked Toes becomes a gang hideout. It is one of series of hideouts that, when completed, will give the player with the highest score the ability to obtain the Explosive Rifle.

Trivia[]

  • 'Crooked Toes' may be a Native American inspired name for this particular area, due to the odd rock formations.
  • Crooked Toes and Sidewinder Gulch are the only two locations in Nuevo Paraíso with English names.
  • Most people believe that Crooked Toes is a natural wonder, but others speculate that it is the devil’s foot, and it is advised to not visit the area because many residents have disappeared in that region. Although this may seem like a plausible explanation, the disappearances are probably caused by the packs of wolves roaming the country.[1]
