Rob Wiethoff (born on September 15, 1976 in Seymour, Indiana, as Robert Allen Wiethoff) is an actor and producer.

Involvement in the Red Dead series[]

Within the Red Dead series, Wiethoff served as the voice and motion-capture actor of John Marston, the main protagonist of 2010's Red Dead Redemption. He also voices Enepay.

Wiethoff reprised his role as Marston in Redemption's expansion pack, Undead Nightmare.

He reprises his role as Marston in Red Dead Redemption II.[1]

Trivia[]

  • In 2010, Wiethoff was nominated for the Best Performance by a Human Male Award for his performance as Marston at the Spike Video Game Awards.[2]
  • Wiethoff was nominated for and won the Outstanding Character Performance Award in 2011 at the D.I.C.E Awards.[3]
  • He declared his favourite character is Arthur Morgan.
  • During a playthrough of Red Dead Redemption, he revealed that in the mission "Remember My Family", Josh Blaylock - the actor for Jack Marston - wasn't available that day for motion capture, and instead Rob portrayed the motion capture for Jack during the gun-duel segment with Edgar Ross.[4]
