First Church of Rhodes is a cemetery in Red Dead Redemption 2, located in the town of Rhodes in region of Scarlett Meadows in Lemoyne.

Background[]

The church is led by Reverend Herbert P. Grimshaw. The church's sign has the quote "I will lift up my eyes to the hills" (a reference to Psalm 121:1). It is inaccessible to the player.

Events of Red Dead Redemption 2[]

In a random encounter, the reverend can be seen at the church's graveyard and speaking a prayer for a recently deceased outlaw.

In the mission "Money Lending and Other Sins IV", Leopold Strauss sends Arthur to collect money from a apprentice undertaker named Gwyn Hughes. Arthur confronts Hughes about the debt. Hughes tells Arthur that he does not have the money, but suggests that he grave rob a deceased woman named Mrs. Claypole at the church to pay his debt. Hughes asks asks Arthur to divert people away from the graveyard so that he can exhume the brooch without being spotted.
