The Fishing Rod is an item in Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online.
Description
The fishing rod is used to catch fish in the game. Baits and lures can be bought in bait shops and general stores to help catch specific types of fish.
Acquisition
In Red Dead Redemption 2, the player unlocks the fishing rod after taking Jack Marston on a fishing trip in the mission "A Fisher of Men." However, it can be unlocked before this by knocking it out of the hands of a fishing NPC.
In Red Dead Online, the fishing rod can be bought after reaching Rank 14.
