The Good Samaritan is a minor character featured in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Nothing is known about the Good Samaritan's background, though he appeared to be a resident of the city of Saint Denis.
Events of Red Dead Redemption 2[]
When Arthur Morgan collapses in Saint Denis from a violent coughing fit caused by his tuberculosis, the Good Samaritan escorts him safely to Doctor Joseph R. Barnes' medical clinic. After this, he is not seen again.

Personality[]
Little is known of the Good Samaritan's personality other than, as per his name, the fact he's a good person. When he sees Arthur collapse from his coughing fit, the Samaritan drags Arthur to the sidewalk if he collapsed on the road and helps him get on his feet escorting him all the way to the Doctor's Office to make sure he gets there okay. He is also patient, as he waits for Arthur to build up the strength to continue walking down the sidewalk. He also spares no time in giving Arthur money for the treatment.

The Good Samaritan is dressed fairly smartly; he wears a pinstriped, buttoned white shirt with a dark grey suit jacket and trousers, as well as a beige-colored hat with a blue strip wrapped around it. He has brown hair and a handlebar mustache, in addition to smart shoes.

- If the player has no money during the mission, the Good Samaritan will give $10 to Arthur when entering the clinic.
- The Good Samaritan shares a slight facial resemblance to Thomas Downes.
- The Good Samaritan's name is derived from the Parable of the Good Samaritan, a story in the Bible which coined the term "Good Samaritan" for a person who helps a stranger.
