Trivia[]
- The Miner's Hat is the only hat in the game that's actually useful instead of decorative. It allows the player to explore dark places without the need of a lantern, leaving both hands free. As such, it is handy to acquire it as soon as possible and keep it storaged from then on in the horse saddle.
- Any hat or mask found only south of the Upper Montana River (Blackwater, southern and south-western parts of West Elizabeth, all of New Austin country, etc.) can only be acquired in specific missions and then just after the epilogue or through game exploits.
- If the player swaps hats while close to a companion during a mission, they may voice their opinion if the hat suits the player or not. Dutch is most conspicuous example.
- In The Cayo Perico Heist update for Grand Theft Auto Online, a picture of Juan "El Rubio" Strickler wearing the Legendary Beaver Flop Hat can be found at his compound.
