Hector Fellowes is a minor character featured in Red Dead Redemption 2.

History[]

Background[]

At some point before 1899, Fellowes established himself as a newspaper tycoon within Saint Denis, running the Saint Denis Times. He generated a strong dislike for Mayor Lemieux.

Events of Red Dead Redemption 2[]

At the Mayor's party, Fellowes can be seen talking with Bill Williamson and another partygoer. He is short with Bill's awkward and confused replies until becoming irritated by the conversation and leaves. Additionally, Angelo Bronte points out Fellowes as one of the guests, describing him as "that wretched newspaperman" and suggests that Dutch could kill Fellowes for him one day.

Later on, Arthur is contacted by Mayor Lemieux and offered work as a blackmailer. As one of these jobs, the player is tasked to intimidate Hector Fellowes into giving a large donation to the city, in order to build a new library. After learning that Fellowes is on a stagecoach leaving the city, the player boards the carriage and asks Fellowes for his donation. Fellowes refuses, which results in the player grabbing him and holding him out over the road and threatening him further. Fellowes subsequently caves in and the player rides away, after reminding him to send the cheque promptly.
