Hedgehog Thornton is a minor character featured in Red Dead Revolver.

Hedgehog is available as a playable character in Showdown Mode from the start of the game. His special ability grants him bullets indulged in Snake Oil.

History

Background

Due to being considered frightfully ugly and only a small time hood, "Hedgehog" was a shoo-in for the Ugly Gang. Like the other gang members, Hedgehog has a bounty on his head, dead or alive $100 for mayhem and robbery.

Events of Red Dead Revolver

"Hedgehog" Thornton is the second boss faced during the mission "Ugly Streetfight" in Widow's Patch and is faced alongside his goons, immediately after killing the three snipers on the buildings. Though not particularly dangerous, his shotgun can send an enemy to the ground with a single shot. Like the other gang members, he is killed by Red Harlow during the mission.

Trivia

• In Sheriff Bartlett's Journal, the title for Thornton's page is misspelled as "Thorton" (omitting the "n"), but the text of the page spells his name correctly.
• Humorously, when he is killed and his hat falls off, one can see his hairstyle resembles a hedgehog, hence his nickname.
• He shares his surname with Harold Thornton in Red Dead Redemption, but it is unlikely that they're related.
• He possibly shares the same voice actor as Jesse Lynch.
• In the beta versions of the game, his outfit was lighter in color and he had Ennio's head model.
• His Showdown Mode special ability is the same as Natalie Kelley's.
