Helen is a minor character featured in Red Dead Redemption 2.

History[]

Background[]

Helen is the love interest of Proetus and Acrisius, two twins who compete against each other to prove whose manliness is greater in order to impress her. Helen, however, worries about their ridiculous feud, as they greatly endanger their lives during their risky stunts.

Despite this, she does seem flattered by their gestures and appears to like them both, but believed that they would not survive without her.

Events of Red Dead Redemption 2[]

Helen is present during all missions of the "Oh, Brother" strand. During the missions, she expresses her views on the ridiculousness of their actions. At the end of the final "Oh, Brother" mission, she tells Proetus and Acrisius how silly they are, and they respond by leaving her for causing their feud. Helen tells the player that she didn't mean to lead the boys on but did enjoy the attention from two intelligent men. She states that they would not last a week by themselves. Helen then parts ways with the player by riding off on her horse.

Character[]

Personality[]

Helen seems to enjoy the feud that Proetus and Acricius have over her, and despite the fact they put themselves in extreme danger to prove themself worthy (getting the protagonist to shoot bottles off their head, and rolling down a waterfall in barrels) she does physically nothing to stop them. She valued their lives, more than the attention because and reprimanded them for their petty squabbles over her for. After they decide to the feud, she was saddened.

Appearance[]

Helen is a slender young woman, with green eyes and dark brown hair, which she wears tied in a bun. Helen wears a black shirt, a silver medallion with a green gem, white drop earrings, a pink and white shawl with flower patterns, a black belt, and a maroon skirt with brown boots.

Trivia[]

  • Given that Proetus and Acrisius have names from Greek mythology, Helen's name may be a reference to Helen of Troy, a woman who was said to be a daughter of Zeus and had "the face that launched a thousand ships", with the Trojan War supposedly being fought over her. Her surrogate father, Tyndareus, was a descendant of Proetus.
