Jack Hall is a minor character referenced in Red Dead Redemption 2.
History[]
Jack Hall was once the leader of the notorious Jack Hall Gang. They robbed banks across the land to California, but were eventually killed in New Hanover after burying treasure there.
Trivia[]
- While in camp, members of the Van der Linde gang can sing the "Jack Hall" song, which contains numerous references to the James-Younger gang and the infamous bank robbery.
- The "Jack Hall" song is based on the folklore song "Cole Younger", which tells the story of the outlaw Cole Younger. Both songs mention California, Nebraska, a Union train robbery, and the Northfield Bank robbery.
- The cigarette card is found at Chez Porter.
- Jack Hall appears to be to be partially based off the Australian bushranger Ben Hall. Both were notorious bank robbers who were killed after hiding their treasure, and both became a part of folklore after their death.
