The Jail Cell Key and Jail Cell Keys are unique items that can be found in the game.
Acquisition[]
It can be easily obtained in the Rhodes Bank in Red Dead Online, due to the doors being unlocked.
In single player, the Jail Cell Keys can only be obtained through glitches. The keys can be obtained when wall-breaching through the Rhodes Fence store or the Rhodes Bank. Conversely, the Jail Cell Key can be looted from Sheriff Hanley in "Blessed are the Meek?" and during "The King's Son", being obtained from Jackson.
Trivia[]
- Though the description of both items state that they can unlock a jail cell, neither item has any functionality in free roam, and the Jail Cell Keys found in Rhodes cannot be used in "Blessed are the Meek?" or "The King's Son".
- It should be noted that despite being unique items, the keys are technically considered separate from one another, and it is possible for the player to obtain both. The keys found in Rhodes have a pluralized name, whereas the keys used to unlock Micah's cell and to free Eagle Flies do not. Since it can be observed in older videos that the keys found in Rhodes still had a singular title just like the ones found in "Blessed are the Meek?", it is likely that the Rhodes keys were later changed by Rockstar to be plural to avoid conflicting with those missions.
