Jesse is a strange man with pale skin who apparently survived a hanging attempt (and now wears the noose as a tie), and a member of Mr. Black's Black Gang. He took a part in a bloody event called the McDonell massacre, which seemed to took place near Widow's Patch and was caught by Sheriff O'Grady. After robbing a stagecoach and escaping, he moved to the town of Tarnation and fell in with Black.
Events of Red Dead Revolver[]
Jesse is the boss in the mission "Ghost Town", being a dueling challenger with two other fighters, Gordon Fowler and Bandito. If either of the three is not killed in the dueling process, the player will have to fight them in a standard shootout, but Jesse has a health bar and takes longer to kill than Fowler and the Bandito.
After Jesse's death, Red Harlow heads into the Tarnation's cemetery to take on Mr. Black.

Jesse Lynch is listed in Sheriff Bartlett's Journal under the Wanted - Dead or Alive section. His journal page is unlocked once the player has purchased the Sold Sign from the General Store after the mission "The Cemetery".

- Jesse Lynch wears a noose around his neck like a necklace, referring to his last name "Lynch".
- The bounty on his head is $800, more than twice the amount of Mr. Black, but appears to be less of a threat to Brimstone than Black.
- His bounty of $800 is the highest one for an outlaw in the game.
- His character model is quite similar to DC Universe Scarecrow's model from New Batman Adventures.
- He shares the same voice actor as Hedgehog Thornton.
