For the Red Dead Redemption variant, see Kentucky Saddler.

The Kentucky Saddler is a horse breed in Red Dead Redemption 2. Most coat types can either be tamed or stolen, though the Grey coat can be found at the Valentine stable. Other coat types include the Chestnut Pinto, Black, and Silver Bay. The Kentucky Saddler has a low base value, making it a fairly cheap riding horse ($50). Kentucky Saddlers are very common, with low attributes. Its handling gives it moderate reactivity and agility.

Kentucky Saddlers are classed as riding horses. They can be identified by their medium-sized frame and smooth gait. The Gray, Black, Chestnut Pinto and Silver Bay are found in the wild. The Gray coat is also purchasable from a stable. Their good nature and handling make them perfect for riding short distances. This breed is known for being healthy, but is let down by poor Speed and Acceleration.

Catalogue Description

An all-around good horse for farm work and riding, the Kentucky Saddler is a hardy breed. Compact and well-muscled, they are perfect for long travel over tough terrain and are not susceptible to disease and afflictions as fancier breeds sometimes are. Versatile and willing, it is little wonder why Josiah Blackwater chose a Kentucky Mountain Saddle Horse when he explored the West.
