Legend is a mode you can choose to enter when you have reached the maximum Rank of 50, which requires 337,110 XP in Redemption Multiplayer. You can pass into Legend by going to the Multiplayer menu.

When you have passed into Legend, you will unlock mounts quicker than last time, immediately receive a new Legendary character and rank badge, and unlock a new mount each time you reach Rank 50. Passing into Legend will reset all your challenge progress; however, you will keep titles you have already unlocked, as well as any unlocked golden guns you may have.

There are five tiers of Legend, the last not requiring you to get to Rank 50 again, only giving you another Legend badge. You will have accumulated 1,685,550 XP getting to Rank 50, Legend 5.

When you pass into Legend, all weapons and mounts are lost; challenges are reset, and you are set back to Rank 1. Golden weapon challenges are not reset if already complete; characters and titles are kept as well. Depending on your Legend tier, you get some mounts earlier than you normally would (see list below). Details of Legend mode are described in the video below.

Trivia

  • Legend mode is rather similar to the Prestige mode of other popular shooting games, namely the last three titles in the Call of Duty franchise. Just like those games, Legend serves to extend the playability of the game and to even the odds between veteran and newer players.
