The Legendary Bluegill is a rare species of fish found in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Compendium[]

The Legendary Bluegill has been spotted by fishermen around Scarlett Meadows. It is rumored that this fish can only be attracted by using Special Lake Lures. Sightings of this fish have increased during rainy weather. The size of this Bluegill is rumored to be over nineteen inches long and weighing around four pounds.[1]

Location[]

Flat Iron Lake, on the bank southwest of Rhodes.

Trivia[]

  • During the companion activity of fishing with Kieran in Chapter 3, if the player has a Special Lake Lure, Arthur Morgan can actually catch the fish to the excitement of Kieran.
  • If Arthur returns and catches the Bluegill alone, the naked swimmer will reappear, and Arthur will thank him for telling him about the fish.
  • If it has not been completed yet, catching the Legendary Bluegill will count toward the completion of Survivalist Challenge 1.
  • It is possible to shoot the Bluegill with a pistol if you happen to see it swim close to the bank.
