The Legendary Shadow Buck is a rare species of animal found in Red Dead Online.
It only spawns during Harriet Davenport's Legendary Animal Sighting missions after the player reaches rank 5 in The Naturalist role.

Stories concerning this unusual buck have spread through Annesburg. It is said to have an entirely black coat and dark set of antlers. Like all dear, this buck can be skittish and will flee if disturbed. It has also been known to charge. The popularity of these rumors has alerted poachers to its existence. If tracking, keep your distance and approach with considerable care.[1]

After hunting and killing the buck, the player can sell the pelt to Gus Macmillan and he will craft it into garments.
