The Legendary Winyan Bison is a rare bison of the bison species found in Free Roam of Red Dead Online.
Description[]
This bison is said to make its home just west of Deadboot Creek and near Lake Isabella. Its dense, pale yellow fur helps adapt to the harsh winter environment in the Grizzlies West of Ambarino and camouflage it against the snowy conditions. Unlike the Payta and Tatanka counterparts, this bison is not alone and can be seen with three hostile American bisons surrounding it. Maintaining a safe distance is recommended. This bison is most active in the dark, on dry, clear nights.[1] Winyan is the Lakota Sioux word for "woman", in which may imply that this legendary bison is female, and therefore, explains the presence of three aggressive bisons being males protecting the legendary bison.

Legendary Winyan Bison only appears at night from around 9pm to 6am, in clear weather.
Crafting[]
After hunting and killing the bison, the player can sell the pelt to Gus Macmillan and he will craft it into garments.
