Lindsey Wofford is a minor character and bounty featured in Red Dead Redemption 2.
History[]
Background[]
During the Civil War, Lindsey Wofford served the Confederate States Army as a soldier. At some point prior to 1899, he joined the Lemoyne Raiders and eventually became its leader.
He is wanted dead or alive by the Saint Denis Police Department, for un-American activities, murder and adultery.
Events of Red Dead Redemption 2[]
When in Saint Denis, the protagonist can get a bounty poster from the police station for Lindsey Wofford, who is wanted for $100. He can be found at Fort Brennand, an abandoned military fort inhabited by a large number of Lemoyne Raiders. Once arriving at the fort, the player calls out for Wofford, at which point he and his men will charge out to kill him. Wofford can either be killed or hogtied during the skirmish, before being taken back to Saint Denis.
If Lindsey Wofford is captured alive, he is placed in a cell within the police station and is later publicly hanged at Guiteau Square. If he is killed, Police Chief Benjamin Lambert tells the player to dump his corpse on a cart behind the police station.
Tips[]
- If the player approaches the fort peacefully, Wofford will walk out onto the catwalk past some dynamite, which can be taken advantage of to dispatch him quickly and off guard; however, the player will receive a smaller reward for turning him in dead, and they will immediately need to scramble to cover as all of his goons will open fire after the kill cam ends.

Trivia[]
- A common bug in completing his bounty will cause only $4-$12 to be paid instead of $100. Rockstar says this can be avoided by power cycling the console before attempting this bounty. Players should shut the console down completely, then unplug the power cord for 30 seconds. If the player still does not receive the full bounty, they are advised to report the problem to Rockstar Support.
- If Lindsey is freed during his execution, he will say "I didn't know you were a friend" before fleeing the area.
- If Lindsey is captured alive during Chapter 4, Arthur will mention that the Van der Linde gang took over the Raiders' place in Shady Belle.
