Lost and Not Quite Found is a mission in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Mission Overview[]

After a few days at sea, a torrential storm strikes the Antenor, and the Van der Linde gang are forced to abandon ship.

Story[]

Aboard the Antenor and asleep, Arthur wakes up suddenly to find Dutch urging him to get up. A harsh storm has hit the ship and they are all in danger. Still groggy, Arthur follows Dutch, Micah, Javier and Bill through the ship, but a violent jolt knocks over some heavy crates down between him and Dutch, separating them. Arthur goes to find a way around, but by the time he reaches the deck of the severely damaged ship, he sees that Dutch and the others are already at sea in a lifeboat. Arthur helplessly yells out to them before he and several other crewmembers leap off the doomed Antenor and into the dark, raging waves below.

Background Music Played in the Mission[]

  • "Everybody Wake Up" - Played when the gang attempt to escape the ship that is being wrecked during a storm.

Trivia[]

  • The name of this mission can only be discovered using glitches or autosaving.
  • This title is a pun on the idiom called "lost and found", referring to an office in a public building or area where people can go to retrieve lost articles that may have been found by others.
  • Due to the entire mission consisting of a single cutscene, the mission cannot be replayed via the pause menu (like "The Best of Women").
    • However, unlike that mission, the name "Lost and Not Quite Found" never appears on screen.
  • This mission essentially acts as an epilogue to "Banking, The Old American Art". As such, it is technically the final mission of Chapter 4.
  • This mission will automatically continue into the first mission of Chapter 5, "Welcome to the New World".
  • After this mission, the player will temporarily lose their provisions, weapons, money and horses, as well as Arthur's journal, and become trapped in Guarma until the mission "Paradise Mercifully Departed" has been completed.
  • This mission, "A Fork in the Road", and "The Best of Women" are the only three missions that do not have a marker on the map for the player to find.
  • The name of the ship "Antenor" Is a reference to a character in Greek mythology who had the total loyalty and trust of his king before betraying him to the Greeks. This could be a reference or foreshadowing Micah's betrayal who was loyal to Dutch but then betrayed him to the Pinkertons.
