|Hey there, cowboy. This article looks a little bit small.|
I reckon you could impress me by contributing to it. Don't be shy now.
It lies to the southeast of O'Creagh's Run.
Inside the cabin, the player can find a letter written to Martha from a man named Garfield, dated 1864.
Garfield appears to be a Southern soldier fighting on behalf of the Confederacy, while Martha is a Northern woman with whom he is in love. In the letter, Garfield discusses thoughts of deserting the army, an upcoming uphill battle against the Yankees and fears of dying.
It remains unclear how Martha died, or why the corpse of her was left to rot in the cabin. If the player chooses to venture to the hills upon which the battle mentioned in the letters took place, Bolger Glade, they can find Garfield's corpse; his skeletal remains are pined into a tree, wearing a sign that brands him as a traitor. A letter from Martha can be found on his corpse.
