Hey there, I wanted to reach out because I hadn’t meant to come off as though I thought you were acting like a vandal or had been maliciously trying to single you out. I see know that part of the language I used while attempting to explain the reasons for my adjustments definitely qualify as uncalled for and I honestly wish to express an apology for that. I had no cause to sink to accusing you of drawing out the situation as I had and as quickly as I did.
To clarify the reasoning for my initial reversals of your edits were based on two factors. One, being that I found the wording to have been adding an accidental implication that treated Guarma as if it existed with its equation to Cuba and the second being that I saw the detail as out of place where it had been placed. The original point for that tidbit was specifically to state the battle’s role in making both Roosevelt and similarly Waxman into national heroes. I ultimately decided to not act on the final revision as to wait for a better way to remedy the situation instead of appearing regressive and another staff member has opted to reword it.
I want you to know that I have appreciated your other additions to the wiki in the past and hope that you reconsider your decision regarding no longer be involved in editing. I personally believe it would be a waste for a user with constructive intentions to leave over a dispute that was caused by a misunderstanding in which they were least at fault.
