Hey. I am just here to inform you that we as a wiki only link characters once under each heading for a specific character. An example of this would be you would not link Charle's name twice under "Events of Red Dead Redemption 2." I just saw you doing this and would like to ask you to abstain from doing so.
OK. I appreciate the response. I was just wondering. I have professional writing, editing, and publishing experience, and it just seemed like an arbitrary change. I was always taught to avoid unnecessary adverbs and commas and to use strong nouns where possible, so that's why I wrote it the way I did. But I'm fine with it the way you have it. Thanks again.
That does not surprise me at all. A lot of the historical info you add to articles is very detailed and always written to a very high standard; the same goes for the info you added on Arthur’s skills. Thank you for your contributions!
Hello, you actually can antagonise the characters at Proghorn Ranch. I wouldn't have put that trivia in unless I knew it for a fact. If you follow Abe around you in missions you can interact with him which can trigger him running away if you insult him or push him around enough.
Also there's a trivia fact above mine that says it's implied that Tom Dickens is sexually attracted to Abe. There is no content in the scenes of Red Dead to suggest that. I expect that people understand Abes character around here.
If I’m honest, I’m not sure whether the point about Tom Dickens being "sexually attracted" to Abe is true. Someone added it to both Abe and Tom Dickens, although I agree with you that there isn’t really anything to suggest it. I may consider removing it.
Abe barely has any facts on his page so I will take it upon myself to fill it with accurate facts as I believe I've heard all of his dialogue. There was once a fact saying that it is implied that Mrs Geddes had/has a sexual relationship with Abe, which could be true considering she is known to flirt with the ranch hands. I think it was appropiate fact, which confuses me as to why it was removed.
Please refrain from adding too many unnecessary trivia points, such as "It is possible to fail a mission if you harm or kill Abe", as this is the case for most (if not all) non-hostile characters in the game.
Additionally, if you wish to add images to the page, please put them in a proper gallery - make a heading for "Gallery" and insert a gallery below this, for you to put your images in.
Well? It's trivia. His page is extremely underdevolped so I hardly find it unncessary to actually add content. He is a vital part of the epilouge and that should be recognised. I find it hard to believe that it is harmful to add knowledge to an already lackluster page.
Content that is added should be meaningful and informative, not things that are either irrelevant or insignificant. If you do wish to add content, then perhaps you could try adding his mission appearances or writing about his actions in missions. As for the pictures, please put them in a gallery as I have asked. Continuing to add things to the page as you currently are will, sadly, result in your edits being reverted.
When it comes to writing about his mission appearances, yes, the information should have significant meaning. This is for trivia - trivial things. It may not be the most interesting of information but it is factual content that could spark interest in other wiki readers. Please try be considerate. I will move my items into a gallery as soon as I can. Thank you for your patience.
Due to the fact that Midnight's Pistol is technically a different weapon to the standard Mauser Pistol, the two weapons should be on different pages. Additionally, because Midnight’s Pistol has a section of the Navigation bar at the bottom of the page, information on it is fairly easy to access, should the player wish to find out.
It’s also true that, for consistency with other pages, that info on custom weapons doesn’t really belong on the default version of the weapon’s page (for example, Flaco's Revolver is never mentioned on the standard Cattleman Revolver (RDR 2) page). However, I do think that your argument that Midnight’s Pistol is unique because it can be acquired earlier on than the standard Mauser Pistol is reasonable. Therefore, I will add a trivia section mentioning Midnight’s Pistol on the Mauser Pistol (RDR 2) page, but no more than that.
It seems that a voice actor is credited with voicing Guido Martelli. This is strange because, as I mentioned in my edit summary, Martelli does not appear in the game and so he cannot be voiced.
It is most likely that Guido Martelli was meant to have a speaking part in the game, but this was later scrapped and they simply didn’t remove this from the credits. Alternatively, one of Guido Martelli's men speaks to Charles and John during the confrontation, and it could be the voice actor for this NPC that is simply credited as "Guido Martelli", as opposed to being one of his henchmen.
Due to the fact that Martelli simply cannot have a voice actor (even if it is credited), it seems right that his supposed "voice actor" should not be mentioned in his infobox. However, I will consider creating a trivia on the Guido Martelli page saying that he is credited with having a voice actor, despite not having one in-game. Regardless, thank you for presenting me with some evidence for your idea, I appreciate it.
It’s never happened with me before. I acquired my first one in the mission "An American Pastoral Scene", and then came across a second one during the gunsmith robbery in Rhodes. Both times, I still had one Lancaster Repeater in my inventory - finding the second one did not correspond to having a second one in the weapons stash.
However, if you have video evidence of having two in the inventory, I would very much like to see it. If I can confirm that it is possible for this to happen, then I will re-add your point to the page.
