The Mexican Poncho is an unlockable outfit featured in Red Dead Redemption. The Mexican Poncho consists of the Cowboy Outfit with the additional of a brightly colored, badly torn, traditional poncho, over the Bandolier, if owned. It does not have any effect on gameplay, like some of the other outfits.

"A musty old poncho. A souvenir of your travels in Mexico."
Locations
This outfit is attained upon purchasing any of the five Safehouses in Nuevo Paraiso.
Trivia
- It is impossible to obtain this poncho with no holes or tears, however, the Reyes' Rebels Outfit has an intact poncho with a different, darker, design.
- A glitch may happen in cutscenes where Marstons arm may go through the poncho.
- It is likly a referance to the outfit worn by Clint Eastwood's character "The Man with No Name" from the Dollars trilogy, an iconic series of Western movies.
- When wearing the poncho as Jack Marston, the outfit shown beneath it is the same cowboy outfit as John Marston.
- This is the preferred outfit by many players when doing the Nuevo Paraiso story arc.
- It is very similar to the poncho worn by Clint Eastwood in the film The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.
