Description

The Oil Derrick is a recently abandoned structure situated in the Heartlands, New Hanover. It belonged to a minor, local company that was owned by Mr. Varley who happened to undercut Cornwall Kerosene & Tar, a rivaling company in the region.

Trivia

A dinosaur bone can be found at the bottom of the drilled hole.
A letter from Cameron Spence, the vice-president of Cornwall Kerosene & Tar, can be found on the burned corpse.
The damages on the nearby camp and the various tools, along with the burned corpse of Mr. Varley on the platform, suggests that it was done by Cornwall Kerosene & Tar or someone commissioned by them.
