Alright, ladies, we know our song is a good one, and we know our cause is a pure one.
Olive Calhoon to the suffrage protesters.

Olive Calhoon is a minor character featured in Red Dead Redemption 2.

History[]

Background[]

Olive Calhoon is a strong and outspoken advocate of women's suffrage and is presumably a resident of Rhodes. She is admired by many other women, including Penelope Braithwaite.

Events of Red Dead Redemption 2[]

Olive is first seen gathering her followers outside of the town's limits for a rally towards the Bank of Rhodes. While Olive is speaking to her followers, Beau Gray, with Arthur Morgan in tow, arrives and attempts to convince Penelope to not participate out of fear for her life. Instead of leaving, Penelope tells Beau that Arthur can drive the wagon in order to protect the suffragists from townspeople and their families. After agreeing to do so, Arthur is introduced by Penelope to Olive, who welcomes him to the rally and believes that his presence would promote their cause. After reaching the bank, Olive delivers her speech to the townsfolk and her followers.

At some point after the rally, Penelope, who is placed in house arrest by her family around the same time, reveals to Arthur that Olive had been murdered, presumably by either the Grays or the Braithwaites.

Quotes[]

Normally, I like to drive myself but today, I feel like a man joining us sends the right message.
Olive Calhoon on the prospect of Arthur Morgan riding the wagon into Rhodes.

Trivia[]

  • While Ms. Calhoon's name is always spelled "Calhoon" in the game's subtitles, the credits erroneously refer to her as "Mrs. Calhoun", wrongly identifying both her marriage status and the spelling of her surname. This is also her model name in the game files.
